Breakneck Ponds

The ever evolving marshlands, ponds and lakes of Acadia often have stands of dying and dead trees clinging to life on the remaining land. They provide provide a great deal interest and atmosphere. The resulting sculptures are a reminder of the cycle all natural areas evolve through. These trees are returning to where they originated ultimately providing the soil and nutreants to support future generations.
